Field Trips

Field trips are an exciting and integral part of our Nature School experience. We organize a big field trip every month to extend learning beyond the classroom and immerse children in hands-on experiences with nature and the community. Proper planning and communication are key to ensuring these outings are both fun and safe.

Field Trip Permission Form

Purpose: To obtain consent from parents/guardians for their child to participate in the field trip.

Includes:

  • Child’s name and emergency contact information.

  • Field trip date, time, and location.

  • Transportation details.

  • Parent/guardian signature and date.

Field Trip Plan

Purpose: To provide detailed information about the field trip to families and staff.

Process:

  • A copy is sent to families one week prior to the trip.

  • A physical copy is kept in the emergency backpack for staff reference during the trip.

Includes:

  • Field trip destination, date, and time.

  • Itinerary of activities.

  • List of items children need to bring (e.g., water bottles, hats, snacks).

  • Transportation and parking details.

  • Emergency meeting location.
